About Oak View Animal Hospital

Oakview Animal Hospital Staff

Since 1981, Oak View Animal Hospital has provided top quality veterinary care to dog and cat owners in Pelham, Helena, Hoover, Alabaster, Indian Springs and other areas of Shelby County and Jefferson County.

Dr. Jay Price, Dr. Elizabeth Robinson, Dr. Tricia Bradac and Dr. Bill Whitfield and our staff treat you like family and each pet like our own. Oak View Animal Hospital is your partners in your pet’s health.

As pet owners ourselves, we believe annual preventative care with wellness exams, vaccines, parasite screenings, heartworm test andlab tests are the keys to your pet living a longer, healthier and happier life. As a full-service vet hospital, we also provide your pet with surgery, diagnostics and x-rays, pet dentistry, microchipping, nutritional counseling plus boarding and grooming.

Accidents and illness happen even to the healthiest of cats and dogs. This is where Oak View Animal Hospital really excels. The skill and expertise of our doctors is enhanced by modern diagnostic imaging equipment, onsite lab, in-house medical testing, surgical suite and expertise and resources in dermatology, internal medicine and oncology.

Jay Price

Jay H. Price, D.V.M.

Veterinarian, Owner of Oak View Animal Hospital, CEO of Southern Veterinary Partners

Dr. Jay Price first came to the Hospital in May of 2006 shortly after graduating from veterinary school. Dr. Price came to Oak View in 2006 shortly after graduating from veterinary school. After three years as an associate veterinarian, Dr. Price acquired the hospital from its original owner.

Dr. Price says he first found his love of animal care while spending summers on his grandparents’ farm helping to tend and care for its many animals. "One of the great joys of being a veterinarian," he says, "is the ability to spend my workday with the various animals that are our patients and maintaining the well-being of creatures that cannot speak for themselves."

He is married with 2 sons and 2 dogs at home.

Elizabeth Robinson

Elizabeth B. Robinson, D.V.M.

Managing Veterinarian

Dr. Elizabeth Robinson is a veterinarian with an emphasis in small animal medicine that has been with Oak View Animal Hospital since 2007. She became a partner in 2012 and Managing Veterinarian in 2016.

A native of Montgomery, Alabama, Dr. Robinson says being a veterinarian is the perfect combination of her lifelong love of animals and the medical sciences. "What I enjoy most about my job is interacting with our clients and the feeling when you know you have truly made someone happy by helping their pet," she says. "Another great thing about my job is that I am constantly challenged and therefore able to learn something new every day, which makes me better at my job."

She is married to her husband Reid and they have 3 daughters and 2 dogs at home.

Tricia Bradac, D.V.M.

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Tricia Bradac was raised in a very small town in Western New York called Holley. During high school, she began working for a veterinarian close to home who had graduated from Auburn...and the rest is history.

Dr. Bradac began college in New York but soon transferred to Auburn University where she obtained her B.S. in Zoology in 2001, M.S. in Biological Sciences in 2004 and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2007.

Bill Whitfield, D.V.M.

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Bill Whitfield is a native of Birmingham and graduated from Ensley High School in 1972. He earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in 1978 and worked three years at Forestdale Veterinary Clinic before opening his own veterinary hospital, Riverchase Animal Clinic, in 1981. After twenty-seven years, he sold Riverchase Animal Clinic in 2008 and joined Southlake Animal Hospital for 10 years before coming to Oak View. Bill has been married to Suzanne since 1974, and they have two grown children, Valerie (Salinas) and Ben, plus 1 grandson (Henry Salinas) and a granddaughter (Ivy). At home, Dr. W has 2 long-haired dachshunds (Molly and Cami), a wirehaired dachshund rescue (Aubie), and Max the cat, who Suzanne found abandoned in Cullman. Bill’s hobbies include traveling and reading about history - especially American history and biographies - and spending time outdoors at his getaway in Clay County, Alabama.

Morgan Early, D.V.M.

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Morgan Early joined the Oak View family in 2019. She is a native of Athens, Alabama and obtained a B.S. in Animal Science from Auburn University and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. Becoming a veterinarian has been a lifelong dream and encompasses her passions for helping animals and their humans. She enjoys traveling the world, anything and everything Auburn, Braves baseball and spending time with her 2 dogs (Mya and Dollie) and 2 cats (Kit and Frodo).

Brandy Falletta, LVT

Hospital Manager / Licensed Veterinary Technician

Brandy began her career in animal care at Oak View Animal Hospital in 2007 and is a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She was promoted to Hospital Manager in 2018. She says, "I like working at Oak View because we are all like one, big happy family. We treat all of our patients like they are our own pets and manage to have quite a bit of fun together while getting the job done."

At home, Brandy has two dogs and two cats. When not working at the vet hospital or spending time with her pets, she enjoys the beach, karaoke, painting, drawing, watching movies and bird watching. Brandy and her husband Jeremy welcomed daughter Emma in 2015.

Veterinary Technician

Natalie has been a member of our hard-working veterinary technician team at Oak View Animal Hospital since 2013. She's the proud pet parent of 8 pets including a rabbit named Meeka. In her free time outside the vet hospital, Natalie enjoys going on long hikes and exploring beautiful mother nature.

Julie Jordan Evans

Veterinary Technician

Julie has been with Oak View Animal Hospital since 2007 and has more than 22 years of experience in animal care. Julie says, "The compassion shown toward the patients and clients at Oak View Animal Hospital far surpasses my previous work experience. The veterinarians here go above and beyond in order to care for the very sweet pets that come through our doors. We also have a lot of fun around here."

Outside the vet hospital, Julie likes to garden, hunt and fish with friends and family, walk around Myers Plants & Pottery in Pelham and spend time with her husband Greg, son "Bubba" and daughter "Pookey" and grandson Cooper. She has many pets at home including Phil, a lab who often serves as a pet blood donor.

Ashleigh Dunn

Veterinary Assistant

Ashleigh has been working in the veterinary field since 2004 and joined Oak View Animal Hospital family in 2017. She likes urgent/emergent care and challenging cases and enjoys talking to clients and making them and their pets feel comfortable. She has a daughter named Matteigh Grace (7), 2 dogs (Reise & Bailey), 3 cats (Lucy, Copper, & Cheeto), a flying squirrel, and 2 turtles. In her free time, Ashleigh enjoys going to the beach, swimming and being outdoors.

Sidney has been in the veterinary industry for 3 years and joined the Oak View family in 2019. She grew up loving animals on a farm and now has a dog named Athena and a couple of horses. In her free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors and being around family and friends.

Kristen Demko
Pet Groomer

Originally from Reno, Nevada, Kristen found her passion for grooming in 2014. Her experience ranges from working in boarding and training facilities to salons. Her love of animals has been life-long and stems from her childhood. Her strong connection with animals drives her to create a stress-free grooming environment, and she constantly strives to make the experience as positive as possible for both the client and pet. Kristen joined the Oak View Animal Hospital team when she relocated to Birmingham in 2019. During her free time, she enjoys hanging out at the clinic because she loves her job so much. When she does get away, she goes hiking and spends time outdoors with her rescued Labrador Retriever, Ruger.
