Help is only a phone call away.
Anesthesia and Your Pet
We perform a variety of pre-anesthetic tests to carefully screen patients to be sure your pet is healthy for anesthesia, and we tailor our anesthetic protocol specifically for your pet. Our trained staff and doctors monitor your pet before, during, and after anesthesia using monitoring equipment including blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation and respiratory rate. We also take time to answer any questions or address any concerns you may have about the medications, monitoring, and care your pet will receive. We use a multimodal approach to anesthesia, meaning your pet may receive different types of medications depending upon the procedure, such as local anesthetics to numb a particular area, anti-inflammatory drugs to reduce swelling and pain medications similar to what is used in human hospitals.
